Do we need RFID or is barcode enough?

For most estates below roughly 2,000 assets, verified once a year, barcode scanning is a fraction of the cost of RFID and just as effective. RFID earns its cost only at high volumes needing very fast bulk reads, or where line-of-sight scanning isn't practical.

Is your asset management software a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. It's a one-off payment, not a recurring subscription, so you pay once and keep using the software rather than paying indefinitely for access to your own data. It includes free scanners with qualifying projects, and it's entirely browser-based, with nothing to install and no server for your IT team to maintain.

Can we just use our phones instead of buying scanners?

Often, yes, for low-volume or occasional scanning a phone camera app reads barcodes and QR codes perfectly well. Dedicated scanners earn their cost with high daily scan volumes, poor lighting, gloved hands, or when you need a device that survives being dropped.

Within 4 working hours, for any equipment on this page, during our Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm hours. We'll ask a few questions about asset count and environment before quoting, since the right equipment varies a lot between a warehouse and an office estate, and we'd rather recommend correctly than quote blind.

What happens if we buy equipment that turns out to be the wrong fit?

Tell us early, before large-scale rollout, ideally within days of receiving it, and we'll discuss exchanging it for a better-suited option. We would rather recommend correctly upfront, which is why we ask about your environment before quoting rather than after.

Do you sell equipment without also doing the tagging project?

Accepted Answer

Yes, equipment and software are available on their own, with no requirement to book a tagging project alongside them. Many of our tagging clients also take a scanner or software licence at the same time, but you're free to buy equipment even if you tag assets yourselves or use another supplier's tags.

Yes, provided the barcode or QR data follows a readable, consistent format, our software isn't tied to tags we manufactured ourselves. We would still want to check a sample before rollout to confirm the encoding is compatible and that scan speeds and read rates meet what your team expects in daily use.

Yes, offline capture is one of their main advantages over basic scanners, letting your team scan and edit records without a live connection, syncing once connectivity is available. This matters most for field teams working in areas with unreliable signal, such as rural verification work or large sites with patchy wifi coverage.

There's no fixed minimum quantity for equipment, unlike our tags which carry a 100-piece minimum order. You can order a single scanner if that's what your project needs, though unit pricing is generally more favourable for larger fleets, so it's worth telling us your likely future needs before you order just one.
