Asset verification and reconciliation
Somewhere between what your register says you own and what is actually standing in your premises, there is usually a gap. Sometimes it is small, a handful of transferred laptops nobody updated. Sometimes it is large enough to trigger an audit qualification. Verification is the exercise that measures that gap precisely, rather than guessing at it.
We do this by physically counting and scanning every asset against your existing register, tag by tag, and documenting every mismatch as we find it, assets present but not recorded, assets recorded but not found, wrong locations, wrong custodians, and assets in poor enough condition that they should be written off rather than carried at book value.
The output is not a tidied-up register with the gaps quietly closed. It is a verification report and an exceptions schedule that your auditors, board or accounting officer can rely on, plus a set of disposal recommendations for assets that are no longer fit for use.
