Compliance and asset registers in Kenya
Organisations that hold significant fixed assets in Kenya are expected to keep a proper, verifiable record of what they own, where it is, and what it cost. For public entities this expectation is grounded in statute and Treasury guidance; for private organisations it is driven by auditors, lenders and donor reporting requirements. In every case, the register is only as reliable as the physical tagging that links it to the assets themselves.
This section explains, at a plain level, the obligations that apply to public sector entities in Kenya, and separately covers the documents procurement officers expect to see from a supplier before they will engage on a tender. We keep both areas factual and specific, because compliance claims that overstate what a supplier actually does tend to fall apart at audit or evaluation stage.
If you need the detail behind either area, the two pages below cover public sector obligations and our own tender documentation respectively.
