Most asset tagging companies in Kenya will not tell you what a tag costs until you have filled in a form and waited two days. We think that wastes your time, so here is the full price list. Prices are per tag, exclude VAT, and assume cash upfront. Minimum order is 100 pieces across all tag products.

What affects the price

Quantity

Published rates assume volume from the 100-piece minimum upward. Above 10,000 tags we quote individually.

Size

Every size above 39 × 13 mm is priced by tag face area, so a bigger tag costs proportionally more material and print.

Artwork complexity

Standard logo, number and barcode layouts are included. Unusual layouts or multiple variants within one run take longer to set up.

Coding and finishing

Barcode, QR, Data Matrix, sequential numbering and brushed, satin or mirror finishes are specified per order.

Adhesive type

Self-adhesive, acetone-activated and pre-punched riveting each carry a different material and application cost.

Credit terms

Credit pricing differs from the cash-upfront rates shown, because quantity and credit period both affect the final figure.

Questions about asset tag pricing

Why do you publish prices when no other asset tagging company in Kenya does?

Because you need a number to build a budget, raise a requisition and compare suppliers, and making you wait two days for an email to get one wastes your time. If procurement needs a formal quotation on letterhead we will send one the same day, but you should not need one just to find out what a tag costs.

Do your prices include VAT?

No. Every price on this page excludes VAT, which is added at 16% on the invoice. The calculator on each product page shows the VAT-inclusive total, since that is the figure you actually pay.

Is there a discount for large quantities?

Our listed prices already assume volume, and the minimum order is 100 pieces. Above 10,000 tags, talk to us, at that scale we quote individually rather than from the list.

How do you price a custom size?

By area. Each product has a rate per cm², KSh 8.00 for aluminium barcode, up to KSh 9.80 for tamper-evident, and we multiply it by the face area of your tag and round to the nearest KSh 5. If your custom size happens to match one of our standard sizes, you get the standard price rather than the calculated one.

What payment terms do you offer?

50% deposit to commence production, balance on delivery. M-Pesa Paybill 247247, account 0120183631962. Institutional buyers can have 30-day credit against a valid LPO, though credit pricing differs from the cash rates on this page, quantity and credit period both affect the final figure.

What is included in the tag price?

Artwork design and a proof before production, sequential serialisation to your numbering format, barcode or QR encoding with readability verification, your logo in full colour, and a digital tag-number schedule delivered as CSV or Excel. There is no setup fee and no artwork charge.

How much does on-site tagging cost?

KSh 60 per asset for tagging, a basic asset register and verification. KSh 150 per asset for tagging plus a comprehensive register with full accounting detail structured for IPSAS or IFRS. Both tiers include a free barcode or QR scanner on projects of 500 assets or more. Tags are quoted separately.

What do you charge for work outside Nairobi?

Transport, accommodation and subsistence at cost. We do not quote a figure until we know your asset locations and counts, and then we issue an exact, itemised amount before any work begins. No open-ended charges and no surprises on the invoice.

Are your prices negotiable?

The list prices are the list prices, which is rather the point of publishing them. What does move is the picture around a large project, quantity, mix of tag types, whether you take the tagging service, and credit terms. Those are worth a conversation.

Why are your prices different from a quotation we received elsewhere?

Usually because you are comparing different products. A KSh 30 printed label and a KSh 50 anodised aluminium tag are not the same thing and will not last the same length of time. When you compare, check the material, the thickness, the print method and the stated outdoor life, and ask what is included, because artwork and serialisation are often charged separately elsewhere.
